Our Model
Our nonprofit operates on a global support and local impact model. We are based in New Jersey, where we focus on raising funds through community-driven fundraisers, events, and service initiatives. These funds are then carefully allocated to trusted partner NGOs in India, ensuring that every dollar raised directly supports grassroots projects and local needs.

INITIATIVES
ON THE GROUND
In order to better understand and connect with our cause, Vrinda volunteered at an education center for underprivileged children in India called Nai Disha over the summer. Working as a teacher and support for the nonprofit, she worked directly with the very children the Vidya Project aims to support. She built meaningful relationships with many wonderful people, both students and fellow volunteers, and hopes to return soon!

FARMERS MARKET STALL
We had an amazing time connecting with the community at the local Farmers Market! Our team raised awareness about our mission, and inspired many to get involved. We shared flyers, gave short presentations, encouraged visitors to follow our Instagram, and collected contact info from potential donors. We had the pleasure of meeting other nonprofit leaders with important causes, and exploring the vibrant market as well.

BOOK DRIVE
We're collecting books in the West Windsor, New Jersey area! With support from local homes, schools, and community groups, we collected over 250 books, ranging from fiction and nonfiction to activity and workbooks, for readers of all ages. Throughout the drive, we've enjoyed connecting with new people, sorting through all the books, and preparing them for shipment to our partners in India.
